How did your career as a photographer begin, and what inspired you to choose this path?

My photography career began when I was studying journalism at university. Photography is a great communication tool that can be used to inspire others, carry a message of social change, and serve as a channel of expression. This inspired me to pursue a career in photography.

Your profile is full of stunning portraits. How do you connect with each client to capture their individuality through photography?

For me, it is important to start a conversation before each photoshoot with the person I will have in front of my lens. This connection makes it easier for me to capture their individuality.

What is your favorite technique or style in photography, and why does it resonate with you?

Motion blur is my favorite technique in photography. It allows me to use light to the extreme while simultaneously showing raw emotions.

Many of your works are shot outdoors. Do you have any tips for working with natural light?

One of the keys to taking outdoor photos is to visit the location at different times of the day and observe how the light behaves in relation to everything that surrounds me at that moment.

How do you prepare for your photoshoots? Is there a specific process that helps you achieve the best results?

For each photoshoot, I conduct research, do location scouting, and perform lighting tests, while also having more than one lighting scheme ready for any unforeseen events that may occur that day.

Your photos often feature vibrant and rich colors. What role does color play in your photography?

For me, colors are the visual guide of each concept. The visual perception of the observer changes depending on the colors in the photo, and this is something I always keep in mind when creating photographic works.

Do you primarily work with brands or focus more on individual projects? Which direction do you find more fulfilling?

Although I do both, I find it more fulfilling to do personal work. When outlining a photographic project for brands, the ideas implemented in the concepts are a hook to attract clients to buy the product that the brand sells. However, in personal photographic work, the ideas are used to convey a message or genuinely inspire people.

How do you handle challenges that may arise during shoots, such as bad weather or unfavorable conditions?

I always have a plan B for each photoshoot in terms of lighting, location, and wardrobe.

What moments in your photography career do you consider the most significant? Are there any projects you’re particularly proud of?

For me, each project is significant; they all have the same value. From every photographic project, I have grown and learned new things. For me, that is the basis for being successful in everything—being open to learning new things every day.

What advice would you give to aspiring photographers just starting out in the field? What mistakes should they avoid?

One of the mistakes that any photographer should avoid is comparing themselves to others; doing so will only hinder the discovery of their photographic style. Another important point is not to follow the trends of social networks regarding photographic styles. Those who only follow currently trending styles will never fully find themselves as creatives.
